The MyHandicap app, which was developed by the non-profit foundation MyHandicap and apploft GmbH with the support of the Bayerische Sparkassenstiftung and sani-trans GmbH, answers these and many more questions.
It is aimed specifically at people (with disabilities) who are dependent on information about accessibility or handicapped-accessible equipment due to mobility restrictions.
When looking for barrier-free places, this completely intuitive app provides users with a variety of disability-relevant addresses in categories such as leisure & vacation, education & work, and health & care. In order to continually expand the address inventory and improve the quality of the entries, users have the opportunity to enter places in the directory themselves and rate addresses. The app's other features include: Automatic location localization via GPS, favorites function, share functions, routing function (Google Maps), map views, SMS donation function (call appears three times) and much more.
The app is available as a free download version to give all people with disabilities access to mobile retrieval of disability-related data.
